Community InvolvementThe George Group prides ourselves in being actively involved with the Southlake, Colleyville, and northeast Tarrant County communities. The list below are some of the organizations The George Group is involved with:
Students Standing Strong is a non-profit, inter-denominational organization designed to encourage and motivate students to stand strong in their Christian faith. Students Standing Strong exists in order to remind students that they are not alone: there are countless other like-minded Christian students who desire to live for Jesus Christ and who are committed to holding one another accountable to the standards God has laid out in His Word. Festival of Trees 2008 - Southlake Festival of Trees is being held in conjunction with Southlake Town Square and the City of Southlake Christmas Tree lighting. The trees are on display at the former Bombay store at 128 State Street in Southlake Town Square November 21–23. The trees are voted on by the public by putting money in the box of the voters’ favorite tree. All money deposited for the tree will go to local charity organizations supported by the Greater Southlake Women's Society. So vote early and vote often! Bring your family and friends! Later, the trees are auctioned during the weekend. The proceeds will benefit GSWS philanthropies. The weekend is full of Christmas festivities, which include a contest of decorated trees. Local Official Kentucky Derby artist Trish Biddle is the official artist. |
